Caleb Maloney

Caleb, a Texarkana native, has been immersed in the local community from the very beginning. Since 2013, he has been an active member of Church Under the Bridge, where his journey took an unexpected turn when, less than a year later, he found himself filling the pulpit for Pastor Cody. In a delightful twist of fate, this led to him being introduced to the world of specialty coffee, as he received freshly roasted coffee from Pastor Cody in exchange.

Prior to his involvement with Mission Texarkana, Caleb served as an HVAC instructor at Texarkana College. When Pastor Cody took on the role of Executive Director at Mission Texarkana, Caleb seized the opportunity to contribute by offering his expertise in HVAC maintenance and repair. In February 2022, Caleb transitioned to a full-time role as the Program Coordinator at Mission Texarkana. In this capacity, he oversees fundraising and program development, including the innovative coffee roasting job training program. 

Committed to honing his skills, Caleb attended both Texas Coffee School in Arlington, Texas, and Mill City’s Roasting 101 class in Minneapolis, Minnesota. One of Caleb’s passion projects within Mission Texarkana is Humble Troll Coffee Roasters. Here, he works side by side with clients, as they gain valuable work experience, acquire new skills, and earn a paycheck. 

Beyond his professional pursuits, Caleb's personal life is about to take an exciting turn. Caleb and his wife Ashley, welcomed their first child, Finnick Maloney, on October 19, 2023.
